In the early months of 1997, a school was organized in Dasmariñas, Cavite. It was named St. Jude Academy in memory of one corporate member’s son whose birth date falls on the feast day of St. Jude. On its first year it only had the main building for the elementary students, clinic and office, a building at the back of the main building for Kinder and prep, a room for special events and a canteen in front of the pre-school building. It only had a little more than a hundred students. On its second year it had a new building, now, the canteen. The old canteen became the uniform storage and the open space in front of the main building, on the other hand, became a place for eating. The fifth grade was added on this year. On its third year the number of enrollees increased to more than 200. On this year, our school offer complete elementary curriculum. Playground equipments were acquired.
The first commencement exercise for the elementary level was held this year. After the elementary graduation, the eatery was replaced with a new four-storey building. It housed the high school students. The Computer laboratory, the Science laboratory and the T.L.E. laboratory were also in the new building. In its 5th year the first graduation for the 4th year took place. There was no change in its 6th year. Now, on its 7th year, one of its greatest accomplishments is the gymnasium, which measures 20 x 35 meters. P.E. games such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and others will be played there. More changes are expected in due time to help the school flourish and give the students quality education.
